NANO business is a business with one, two or three people, and is often operated by the owner alone.

NANO businesses are also known as home-based businesses or solopreneurs. They can be found in many sectors, including agriculture, manufacturing, and services. Examples of NANO businesses in Nigeria include:  Makeup artists, House painters, Food sellers, Hairdressers, Battery chargers, Dispatch riders, POS operators, Petty traders, Artisans, Hawkers, Vendors, etc.

 

NANO businesses are often used for daily survival, and the income is usually for immediate needs. They are often not formally recognized by law, and their sustainability may be uncertain.

An estimated 90–95% of all businesses in Nigeria are in the NANO, Micro and Small Business category.

Any interested and willing NANO entrepreneur can join the association (ASBON) for FREE!

Members under this category have access to all information, opportunities, support services and benefits that the association offers her members. Additionally, ASBON offers special privileges to NANO entrepreneurs with various capacity building, funding, handholding and mentoring programs. The goal is to support YOU to grow and scale.

All free members, including NANO entrepreneurs, shall get business information, updates, networking opportunities, business news, access to funding, access to market and other very many support services through ASBON’s various platforms, on a regular basis.

Members are expected to attend and participate in the association’s meetings, programs, trainings, trade exhibitions, trade missions, general meetings and other events from time to time. Each member is placed under a business sector group that relates specifically to their business.  There are eighteen different sector groups in ASBON. This sector groups and their executives are to support their respective sector group members to grow and scale.
